Taicang hosts roundtable for German-invested enterprises
The Taicang Roundtable for German-Invested Enterprises was held on June 3 in Taicang, known as the "Hometown of German Enterprises". Home to more than 560 German companies, Taicang in East China's Jiangsu province aimed to use the meeting to address the concerns of the enterprises and support their growth as part of its efforts to foster a world-class, market-oriented business environment governed by a sound legal framework.
Zippo China Museum opens
The Zippo China Museum opened in Taicang on June 8. This museum combines industrial aesthetics with cultural elements, serving as both a testament to the company's robust capabilities and a showcase for Zippo brand culture. It allows visitors to fully experience the beauty of industry and the charm of culture, becoming a highlight of industrial tourism.

2026 Jincang Lake Dragon Boat Carnival kicks off
The 2026 Jincang Lake Dragon Boat Carnival kicked off on June 13 in Taicang, with 24 teams from across the city gathering at Jincang Lake Park to compete in thrilling races, creating a thrilling water spectacle that combines speed, strength, teamwork, and perseverance. In addition to the dragon boat competition, the event featured a lively market, interactive games, and other activities, creating an immersive cultural experience.

Nanyuan Lotus Exhibition attracts visitors
The annual Nanyuan Lotus Exhibition is now open to the public at Nanyuan Garden in Taicang, with over 40 varieties of lotus flowers blooming magnificently among the pavilions and towers. Nearly 1,000 visitors from the cities of Shanghai and Suzhou have flocked to the event alongside local residents, capturing photos and exploring the scenic beauty. In addition to admiring lotus blossoms, visitors can experience lotus-themed cultural and creative products and refreshing summer snacks at the market.

Austrian minister visits Taicang to deepen ties
Fan Bo, secretary of the Communist Party of China Suzhou Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger in Taicang on June 23. They also visited the Austrian-invested company EBNER Furnaces (Taicang). Both parties expressed their desire to continuously deepen exchanges and further expand practical cooperation in various
fields.
Low-altitude industry set to thrive in Taicang
Enterprises based in Taicang Port Area actively showcased their innovations at the 4th Low-Altitude (Suzhou) Industrial Innovation Ecosystem Conference in Suzhou on June 27, including NANHUA Electronics, which presented its self-developed aviation lighting series, and Taicang Aokesai Aviation, which exhibited its M2 model amphibious aircraft. The Taicang Port Low-Altitude Industrial Park currently hosts over 30 companies, fostering a vibrant industrial ecosystem.
