The Silicon Cube, a headquarters project for Shanghai Silicon Industry Group in Jiading district, has entered the final stages of construction and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Located in Jiading Industrial Zone, the project has a total investment of about 760 million yuan ($106 million). It covers 11,000 square meters, with a total floor area of about 54,000 square meters.
The 15-story building, which stands 78.5 meters tall, is part of Phase III of the Shanghai Intelligent Sensor Industrial Park. Its glass curtain wall and interior finishing are nearly complete, and scaffolding has been removed.
After completion, the Silicon Cube will serve as the global headquarters of Shanghai Silicon Industry Group and combine headquarters operations, R&D, business incubation and industry services.
The project will focus on integrated circuit materials, equipment, components, chip design, advanced manufacturing and related technology services. It will also seek to attract leading companies and innovative firms, particularly in smart driving and artificial intelligence.
The building will include an industrial exhibition center, conference facilities, shared spaces, restaurants and fitness facilities, supporting business, technology exchanges and industry events.
Integrated circuits are one of Jiading's three 100-billion-yuan-level leading industries. The project is expected to strengthen industrial clustering and innovation and attract more companies and talent to the district.
