Shanghai-based United Imaging Healthcare showcased its latest medical equipment and AI-powered technologies at China-Hospeq 2026 in mid-August, highlighting the growing global reach of high-end medical equipment made in China.
Among the highlights was the uMR Ultra, the world's first LIVE "cinema camera" MR. Its dynamic imaging technology can capture moving organs such as the gastrointestinal tract, helping doctors see physiological processes that are difficult to observe with conventional MRI.

The company also presented its uSONIQUE Genesis, an AI-powered whole-body ultrasound system, along with new PET/CT and breast imaging equipment.
United Imaging Healthcare reported revenue of 7.052 billion yuan ($980 million) in the first half of 2026, up 17.22 percent year-on-year. Overseas revenue jumped 54.46 percent, accounting for 25.02 percent of total revenue.

At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, the company unveiled its "Meta-Hospital" strategy, which aims to use AI across medical services, from diagnosis to follow-up.
Its AI subsidiary has deployed solutions in more than 4,000 hospitals worldwide. United Imaging products now serve more than 16,400 institutions in over 100 countries and regions.
Based in Shanghai's Jiading district, the company's growth is closely linked to Jiading's strong medical device industry. The district's biomedical manufacturing output reached 9.98 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, up 25.45 percent year-on-year, the fastest growth among all of Shanghai's districts.
The United Imaging Town, a hub for the high-end medical equipment industry cluster in Jiading, has attracted about 350 companies across the healthcare industrial chain. A second phase of United Imaging's global headquarters and intelligent manufacturing base, with an investment of more than 3.1 billion yuan, is also under construction.
