Asia's top-tier Singapore General Hospital (SGH) has officially put the uMI Panorama GS, a cutting-edge long-axis PET/CT system developed by China's United Imaging Healthcare (UIH), into clinical use.

Following its adoption by Harvard's Massachusetts General Hospital and Germany's Hannover Medical School, this launch marks global recognition of China's high-end medical equipment. It boosts precision molecular diagnosis across Southeast Asia.

As a world-leading medical and research hub, SGH now features an industry-leading system, equipped with UIH's self-developed platform and an exclusive medical imaging chip.

The device delivers superior clinical performance with a 148-cm ultra-large scanning view and top-tier resolution, enabling accurate detection of tiny early lesions. It sharply reduces exam time and lowers patients' radioactive tracer dosage to 1/40 of traditional levels for safer scans.

SGH said the system lowers radiation exposure and facilitates global nuclear medicine collaboration.

UIH's product portfolio currently supports over 16,400 medical facilities worldwide, positioning the company to significantly enhance healthcare innovation throughout Southeast Asia.
