More than 20 medical experts and officials from the Academic Committee of the China-SCO Center for Metabolic Diseases Cooperation visited the Jiading Campus of Ruijin Hospital on May 24.
They learned about Jiading's high-quality healthcare system, hierarchical diagnosis and treatment network, and the Ruijin-Jiading medical alliance. Delegates also viewed advanced facilities including the endocrine tumor center, digital management system, and China's first domestic proton therapy device.
Representatives from Laos and Mongolia praised the achievements and voiced hopes for closer medical cooperation.
Academician Ning Guang, president of Ruijin Hospital, announced plans to launch an SCO medical exchange platform, release a white paper on metabolic diseases, and carry out joint research.
Established in February, the center is Shanghai's first national-level SCO specialized medical platform. The visit is expected to further strengthen medical cooperation among SCO member states.
