A Japanese delegation consisting of 10 representatives from Japanese companies visited the Jiading Wisteria Garden in Jiading district, Shanghai, during an exchange event on April 16.
The Jiading Wisteria Garden is a popular place in Shanghai to view wisteria blossoms every year. The Japanese delegation was greeted by nearly 100 wisteria plants in full bloom. The intertwining colors of purple, serene white, and gentle pink created a unique landscape reminiscent of a cascading rainbow.
The wisteria varieties in the Jiading Wisteria Garden are primarily sourced from Japan, generously provided by Michio Fujimoto, former mayor of Wake Town in Japan's Okayama Prefecture. It symbolizes the friendship between the Japanese town and the district and also between China and Japan.
The exchange event not only showcased the breathtaking beauty of wisteria, but also provided a platform for discussions on collaborative development.
Throughout long-standing friendly exchanges, an increasing number of Japanese businesses and expatriates have integrated into Jiading. During a meeting with local officials after the visit, the Japanese delegation expressed their hope to enhance cooperation with Jiading and expand their businesses there.
