Baotou company launches digital intelligent operation platform

Updated: 2026-10-09

Baotou Aluminum Co's power plant has launched its centralized digital control and intelligent operation and maintenance platform, marking a new phase in the company's power and energy support with intelligent risk prediction and precise, efficient energy supply assurance.

The power plant is the core department responsible for the company's energy supply. It manages a large volume of widely distributed equipment with a long operation and maintenance chain, including six 220kV substations, more than 40 10kV distribution rooms, and multiple water pump stations and heat exchange stations.

For a long time, its traditional maintenance model, which relied on manual monitoring, decentralized duty, and telephone coordination, suffered from disjointed data, low collaboration efficiency, and delayed hazard detection. Focused on smart decision-making, online diagnosis, data integration, and intelligent early warning, the plant developed an integrated centralized control, operation, and maintenance platform.

Through full-domain data consolidation, intelligent scenario empowerment, and process and mechanism reengineering, it addresses the shortcomings of conventional operation and maintenance, establishing a modern smart system tailored to ensure stable production and supply through year-end.

The system launch has comprehensively upgraded the energy management and control model. Supported by big-data-driven comparison and analysis, dispatchers can quickly identify abnormal operating conditions. The cycle for hazard detection, assessment, and response has been greatly shortened, delivering all-round improvements in power system safety management and control.
