The seventh Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Games for Persons with Disabilities and Special Olympic Games kicked off in Baotou on Aug 23.

The event represents the largest and highest‑level comprehensive sports event for people with disabilities in Inner Mongolia autonomous region. A total of 1,038 athletes from 12 leagues and cities will challenge themselves and share glory at the games.

During the sacred flame lighting ceremony, seven distinguished athletes from Inner Mongolia relayed and lit the flame, symbolizing the unwavering dreams and marking the new chapter for the thriving cause supporting persons with disabilities in Inner Mongolia.

In upcoming sessions, athletes will push their limits on the field and demonstrate their passion through sweat.
