Swimming events wrap up at Inner Mongolia Games
The swimming events of the 16th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Games ran from Aug 9 to 12 in Baotou, attracting 334 young swimmers from 10 leagues and cities across Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Qi Bingqi from Baotou delivered a steady performance and took second place in the 100‑meter freestyle. "I am happy to stand on the podium on home soil. Three years of persistence and hard work have finally paid off. I will strive for better results in the future," said Qi.
The Games serve as a high‑quality training and exchange platform for young swimmers. The athletes can learn from each other and gain experience in major competitions, laying a solid foundation for the future pursuit of higher‑level tournaments.
"It's wonderful to watch thrilling swimming events and experience the charm of sports up close," said Li Guiqin, a Baotou citizen. "I hope Baotou will host more high-level sports events in the future."
