Inner Mongolia Agricultural University has unveiled three overseas science and technology courtyards in Mongolia, Mozambique, and Namibia, marking the first overseas deployment of such platforms by a university in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The "Science and Technology Courtyards" initiative immerses students and researchers in real-world production settings, enabling them to identify industry-related problems and solutions.

The three courtyards are designed to strengthen agricultural research cooperation, accelerate technology transfer, and foster talent development by aligning the university's strengths in agriculture, forestry, and animal husbandry with the agricultural needs of partner countries.

The Inner Mongolia Agricultural University-Mongolia Overseas Science and Technology Courtyard will focus on grassland ecological protection, livestock industry development, dryland farming improvement, and cross-border agricultural cooperation.

The Mozambique courtyard will conduct research and promote technologies in tropical crop cultivation, farmland improvement, green pest control, and agricultural product processing, helping advance modern agricultural practices and boost local agricultural productivity.

The Namibia courtyard will focus on water-saving agriculture, drought-resistant crop breeding, desertification control, and ecological agriculture, with the goal of developing modern agricultural solutions for arid regions in Africa.
