North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has achieved a breakthrough in AI development, with the "Xuanwu Yunshang" model, the region's first generative large model, developed by Xuanwu Intelligent Computing (Inner Mongolia) Information Technology Co in the Hohhot area of the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone, receiving national regulatory approval on June 1.

Generative large models represent a cutting-edge area of AI. Requiring substantial computing power, advanced algorithms, and high-quality data, these networks learn from massive datasets to generate new content, including text, images, and computer code.

Powered by Hohhot's green computing resources, the "Xuanwu Yunshang" model focuses on the digital development and vertical application of traditional culture. It is designed to support a wide range of scenarios, including creative design, aesthetic education, and virtual performances, helping promote the preservation and innovative development of traditional culture through AI technologies.

The company has also deployed a computing cluster with more than 10,000 AI accelerator cards in the Horinger New Area. The facility provides computing support for emerging sectors such as game rendering, AI-generated film and animation production, and autonomous driving.

As one of the key hubs of China's national "East Data, West Computing" initiative, Hohhot boasts leading green computing infrastructure and ultra-low-latency networks. The city ranks among the country's top performers in total computing capacity, intelligent computing resources, and green computing development, providing a strong foundation for the training, inference, and large-scale deployment of AI models.
