Yun Guohong, president of Inner Mongolia Normal University, participated in a class conference held by students of the Physics and Electronic Information major to discuss English study Nov 28. 

Yun asked about the problems encountered by students in foreign language learning. He praised the young people's learning attitude and encouraged them to communicate more with their teachers. 

He suggested that students should study not only for exams, but also for personal interest. The university provides rich resources for students which should be fully utilized to achieve academic progress. 

Guo Xiping, a teacher from the School of Foreign Languages at IMNU, was invited to speak at the conference. Guo shared his English learning experience with the students and elaborated on various skills, such as how to express their thoughts and ideas in English and how to communicate with others in English. 

He told the students that English is not taught, but learned, and also answered their questions. 

The university has paid much attention to the cultivation and construction of excellent study styles among students. School and department leaders are making efforts to upgrade the education system via face-to-face communication with students, according to officials.
