The first International Education Academic Seminar was hosted at the  Confucius Institute of Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University, or KSPU, on Nov 30.  

Both the Chinese director and foreign director of the Confucius Institute attended and addressed the meeting. 

The conference invited Chinese cultural research experts from Siberian Federal University and Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University to make academic reports. 

After the report, IMNU's international students and overseas volunteers staged traditional tea shows and Chinese operas, winning praises from the attendees. 

Officials of IMNU emphasized that the Confucius Institute is an important platform for cooperation between the two universities, The two universities need to continue to expand exchanges and cooperation in the fields of student exchanges, scientific research and academic visits. 

The Confucius Institute program, which began in 2004, is a public educational organization under China’s Ministry of Education. It was established to promote the Chinese language and culture in the world, support international Chinese teaching and facilitate cultural exchanges. 

Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University, founded in 1932, is a public higher education institution located in the city of Krasnoyarsk. 

Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, KSPU is a medium-sized university with around 6,000-7,000 students. It offers officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s degrees in several fields of study.
