2019-12-03

The finals of the 2019 Inflight Service Skills Contest kicked off in Inner Mongolia Normal University on Nov 30.

After two months of fierce competition, four classes stood out from the 19 participating classes and entered the finals for the gold medal.

Teachers and students with outstanding performances were awarded the Jintong Scholarship. Among them, six received first-class scholarships, eight received second-class and 10 third-class scholarships.

China has witnessed an increasing number of airline passengers in recent years, according to a person from the college, adding that learning emergency and safety procedures for an aircraft is of vital importance.

He noted that such activities will help build trust, and these also show passengers the hard work involved in inflight services.

The major in inflight services, originally established in 2008, was the first undergraduate aviation course to involve the private sector in China.

With a high employment rate, it has been a leading major at IMNU, winning praise and recognition from the aviation industry.

Jintong College of Civil Aviation, jointly established by IMNU and Beijing Guanghuijintong Education and Technology Co Ltd, was unveiled in 2017.

The establishment of Jintong College of Civil Aviation was a major step for IMNU in promoting cooperation with the private sector in providing education.
