Yun Guohong, president of Inner Mongolia Normal University, participated in a class conference held by students of the Physics and Electronic Information major and discussed English study with the students on Nov 28. 

Yun asked about the problems encountered by the students in foreign language learning. He praised the young people’s learning attitude and encouraged them to communicate more with their teachers. 

He suggested that students should study not only for exams, but also for personal interests. The university provides rich resources for students which should be fully utilized so as to achieve academic progresses. 

Guo Xiping, a teacher from the School of Foreign Languages of IMNU, was invited as the speaker of the conference. Guo shared his English learning experience with the students and elaborated on various skills such as how to express their thoughts and ideas in English and how to communicate with others in English. 

He told the students that English is not taught, but learned, and also answered the students' questions proposed by the young students. 

The university has paid much attention to the cultivation and construction of excellent study style among students. School and department leaders are making efforts to upgrade the education system via face-to-face communications with the students, according to officials.
