Lectures on Australian children’s literature were held from May 16 to 26, organized by Australian Studies Center of Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU).

Established in June 2015, the Australian Studies Center has launched a series of academic activities about Australia, including aboriginal cultural works translation, seminars and essay writing.

Professor Clare Bradford from Australia’s Deakin University was invited to deliver the lectures at IMNU. She introduced the history of Australian children’s literature and taught IMNU students how to analyze texts and illustrations in children’s literature.

Her lectures paved a new path for IMNU’s study on Australian children’s literature and provided new perspectives for IMNU teachers’ and students’ speeches at the 16th International Conference of Australian Studies in China.

After the lectures, Professor Clare was appointed as a visiting scholar of IMNU Australian Studies Center and presented with souvenirs from Inner Mongolian.
