IMNU President Yun Guohong recalled the history of IMNU's art education, saying that the Art Department was set up as early as the university and was the first arts discipline in Inner Mongolia.

The university has cultivated a great number of artists over the past 65 years, including Tuo Musi, world-famous master of oil painting and one of the founders of the Grassland School of Painting.

The Dunhuang murals has provided infinite inspiration for art creation and IMNU will deepen cooperation with the Dunhuang Academy to explore the combination of ancient art with ethnic culture, said Yun.

Uyanga, a Mongolian delegate of the China-Mongolia Expo organizing committee, pointed out that the International Naadam Festival promotes China-Mongolia exchanges in politics, culture and arts.
