The opening ceremony was attended by many important figures, including Yun Guosheng, deputy director of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's Ethnic Affairs Commission; Li Bohong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hohhot Municipal People's Congress; Li Kaiyuan, president of Hohhot Science and Technology Association; Yi Jing, vice chairman of Inner Mongolia Artists Association; Tian Ming, vice chairman of the Hohhot Federation of Literary and Art Circles; Yun Guohong, president of IMNU; Zhang Haifeng, vice president; and Gao Yunfeng, deputy Party chief.

The university has also hosted exhibitions of Tuo Musi's new oil paintings and works created by Chinese and Mongolian teachers and students.
