Sun Chunlan, president of the International Confucian Association (ICA), met with Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former French prime minister and president of the France Prospective and Innovation Foundation, on April 25th, at the Palace Museum in Beijing. 

Sun welcomed Raffarin and his delegation, praising him as a trusted friend of the Chinese people. She commended his efforts in boosting Sino-French cooperation and mutual understanding.

She thanked Raffarin and the France Prospective and Innovation Foundation for supporting the 2024 HEHE Civilization Forum in Paris. She said she expects strengthened collaboration between the ICA and the foundation to foster cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.

Raffarin said he is looking forward to meeting Sun in France to organize the 2024 HEHE Civilization Forum and the foundation will enhance collaboration with the ICA to boost Sino-French friendship and more.

Emmanuel Peres, Secretary-General of the Foundation from the France side, and Wang Xudong, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) and director of the Palace Museum, Ding Wei, ICA’s executive vice-president, Wang Yongjian, secretary of the Party Committee of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau of the MCT, Zhang Xuechao, deputy director of the Office of the MCT, Jia Deyong, secretary-general of the ICA, Lan Suhong, deputy secretary-general of the ICA, and Dong Qiang, dean of the Yanjing Academy of Peking University and special adviser to the ICA, attended the meeting.
