The Dialogue among Members - Friends of the International Confucian Association was held in Beijing on June 30, with experts and scholars from China, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries engaging in exchanges and discussions. The event was organized by the Liaison Committee for Members of the International Confucian Association (ICA).
Niu Xiping, vice president of ICA, emphasizing the role of Confucianism in North America as a bridge between East and West. He highlighted the efforts of North American scholars to globalize Confucianism and urged for greater collaboration between Chinese and North American scholars to promote understanding and address global challenges.
During the meeting, participants watched the promotional video of the ICA and speeches were given by experts, including ICA Vice Chairman Albert Welter, Professor Daniel Bell with the University of Hong Kong, and Stephen C. Angle with Wesleyan University.
Xu Yongji, deputy secretary-general and director of the Liaison Committee for Members of the ICA, chaired the opening ceremony. Wen Haiming, director of the Liaison Committee for Members of the ICA and professor at Renmin University of China, hosted the exchange and speaking session.
