On April 25, 2023, a project demonstration meeting on "Research on the Inheritance and Development of Southern Confucianism and Southern Confucian Culture" was held atr the Daci Yanfu Palace, the permanent site of the International Confucian Association. 

Experts and scholars from prestigious universities and the National Library, as well as representatives of relevant units and members of the project team, attended the meeting.

The conference was jointly organized by the International Confucian Association and the Publicity Department of the Quzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and was hosted by the Quzhou Branding Work Team, and the Quzhou Southern Confucian Culture Development Center.

Jia Deyong, secretary-general of the International Confucian Association, and Wang Qun, deputy minister of the Publicity Department of Quzhou, attended the event and delivered speeches.

The project is funded by the National Social Science Fund and aims to explore the spiritual connotations of Southern Confucian culture, inspire its vitality with the spirit of the times, and promote its creative transformation and innovative development.
