Hohhot sees tourism boost during Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day holidays
During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the Hohhot Museum's "Six Museums and One Park" complex attracted many visitors with its distinctive cultural appeal.
It launched a series of diverse, youth-oriented cultural and museum activities and received more than 153,400 visits in total.
The General's Office Museum introduced live-action scripted murder mystery games and NPC character parades, welcoming more than 32,700 visits during the National Day holiday. Its traditional Chinese-style concert was among the highlights.
Building on its summer popularity, the Zhaojun Museum continued its night tour program, offering immersive guided tours, NPC interactions and other experiences. Holiday ticket revenue exceeded 93,000 yuan ($13879.66).
Live-action performances and an art garden party at Princess Heshuo Kejing's Mansion Museum also proved highly popular.
During the event, the Five Pagoda Temple Museum received nearly 27,000 visits. Its cultural and creative store, together with market vendors, generated more than 90,000 yuan in direct economic benefits.
Dairy and meat products remain popular souvenirs, while premium cultural and creative products have become must-buy items.
