Hohhot's green computing power advantages stand out
Hohhot has been transforming its natural endowments into computing power advantages.
Hohhot's installed power capacity has exceeded 22.99 million kilowatts, with a 500-kilovolt ring-grid system encircling the capital completed, and electricity prices controlled at 0.36 yuan ($0.05) per kilowatt-hour.
The city's newly installed energy capacity exceeds 7.12 million kW, with green electricity supply utilization exceeding 80 percent, and the pioneering Horinger Data Center Cluster Green Energy Supply Demonstration Project has been completed.
Hohhot has an average annual temperature of 7C, with a natural cooling cycle exceeding 200 days. The center can reduce mechanical cooling equipment operating time through natural cold sources, achieving cost savings of over 20 percent. Air humidity remains low year-round, avoiding equipment corrosion and static electricity issues. At an altitude of 1,000 meters, Hohhot facilitates server heat dissipation while reducing fan energy consumption and equipment vibration.
The Horinger New Area hosts the three major telecom operators, 16 financial institutions, and 62 computing centers, including Huawei. Its total computing power scale has reached 150,000 Petaflops, of which intelligent computing accounts for 143,000 P.
The Horinger New Area's national integrated multi-cloud computing resource monitoring and scheduling platform has begun operating and is among the first projects to connect to the national integrated computing network resource monitoring platform.
