Daqingshan township in Wuchuan county, Hohhot city, leverages its combined advantages in ecology, cultural heritage, and location, tapping into red (revolutionary) and green (ecological) resources to promote the deep integration of culture, tourism, agriculture, and commerce.

Located adjacent to Hohhot, the township is traversed by National Highways G209 and S104. It boasts high-quality ecological resources, including Hadamen National Forest Park; red heritage sites such as the Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery; as well as historical relics, including the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534) Worshipping Site.

Wudaogou village leverages the 3A-level Hadamen scenic area, renovating its visitor reception center, improving village appearance, upgrading its folk customs museum, vitalizing idle homesteads to build boutique homestays, and developing businesses such as mountain cuisine and farming experiences. In 2025, Hadamen received over 300,000 visits, driving sustained growth in rural tourism.

Bading village built an ecological park, integrating pastoral accommodation, specialty dining, and leisure picking, and providing nearby employment for over 30 locals with average annual income increases of nearly 10,000 yuan ($1,483).

In 2025, the township completed a 23-kilometer ecological cycling trail connecting four administrative villages, benefiting over 200 households along the route. Observation decks and rest facilities were installed along the trail, creating an immersive cultural tourism corridor.

In 2025, the culture and tourism industry provided stable employment for over 70 households. Residents along the route sold local specialties through the tourism market, with average annual household income increasing by over 2,000 yuan.
