Ereenhot Railway Port is a key hub of the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Europe Railway Express corridor. This year, railway authorities have continued to optimize transport operations, coordinating with Mongolia to improve the structure of broad-gauge inbound freight flows, expanding the use of open-top containers between China and Mongolia, monitoring freight flows in real time, compiling train schedules, accelerating locomotive and rolling stock turnover, and enhancing broad-gauge receiving capacity to ensure import demand for bulk commodities such as iron ore, coal, and fluorite.
At the same time, they have stepped up communication and coordination with border inspection and customs departments, strengthened information sharing and data exchange, and improved customs clearance efficiency for import and export goods.
