At the China-Russia-Mongolia Friendship City Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference on July 3, Hohhot launched a premium cross-border tourism route targeting Russia and Mongolia.

The newly introduced eight-day, seven-night itinerary leverages Hohhot's strategic advantages as a pivotal hub along the Tea Road and a node city in the China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor. For the first time, it connects four key destinations: Hohhot in China, Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, and Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk in Russia.

Notably, the conference introduced an innovative cooperation model. With the participation of the Hohhot Municipal Health Commission and the Hohhot Mongolian Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, multiple agreements were signed on-site that included, for the first time, "culture and tourism + healthcare" cross-border wellness cooperation.

Drawing on Hohhot's high-quality medical resources, customized health management and traditional Chinese medicine therapy services will be tailored for inbound Russian and Mongolian tourists in the future.

Russian and Mongolian travel trade representatives present at the event said the route and its supporting wellness services precisely meet the diversified demands of regional tourists and will facilitate the mutual exchange of cross-border visitors and market integration.

The signing of these agreements marks the transition of Hohhot's cultural and tourism cooperation with Russian and Mongolian friendship cities from the exhibition of resources to more substantive forms of collaboration.
