The 2026 Hohhot Strawberry Music Festival continued its electrifying run amid the vibrant atmosphere of the Chilchuan Grassland on July 5.

Beyond the stellar performances by a lineup of renowned artists, the festival grounds brought the region's most iconic folk traditions directly into the campsite, featuring intangible cultural heritage experience stations, a local food market, and thoughtful services available throughout.

Outside the experience zone, the food court was packed with Hohhot's signature flavors. Shaomai (a kind of steamed dumpling), lamb offal soup, and salty milk tea left attendees more than satisfied. At nearby stalls, shelves were lined with exquisitely crafted traditional Mongolian costumes and original cultural creative products inspired by the customs and crafts of Inner Mongolia. Attendees could also enjoy some captivating morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) performances on site.

From the free disposable raincoats handed out by staff members at the entrance, to mobile restrooms throughout the venue, and free shuttle buses to the subway station after the show – the festival was filled with thoughtful touches from the organizers.

In addition, public security and traffic police were on site to ensure safety. Traffic police planned surrounding routes in advance, designated exclusive parking zones for various vehicle types, and managed real-time traffic flow on main roads to ease congestion.

Local police officers remained on duty throughout the event to handle emergencies and maintain public order.
