Inner Mongolia's first center for individuals with disabilities to open
The Hohhot Integrated Disability Care, Rehabilitation and Employment Center is set to open soon.
It is both the first pilot facility for severe disability care under the Inner Mongolia Civil Affairs Department and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's first demonstration base combining medical care, rehabilitation, wellness services, and employment support under one roof.

This all-in-one service complex combines professional rehabilitation, skills training, and employment assistance to provide comprehensive support for people with disabilities.
Located within the Saihan district civil welfare park, the center spans 15.3 mu (1.02 hectares) with a built-up area of over 17,000 square meters, featuring well-designed functional zones and fully equipped facilities.
In partnership with Inner Mongolia Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Hospital, the center is building a "barrier-free hospital" to ensure accessible healthcare.

Hohhot is currently home to 28,917 working-age residents with disabilities, of whom 19,147 are employed – a 66.21 percent employment rate. The new center will bring in established employment organizations to deliver one-stop training and employment services. It will provide care and employment assistance to people with intellectual, psychiatric, and severe physical disabilities, while also offering workspace for those pursuing self-employment.
