The 2026 China (Hohhot) Performance Trade Fair opened in Hohhot on April 21. As a signature event founded 25 years ago by the China Association of Performing Arts, this year's fair was held in Hohhot for the first time.

The exhibition hall featured 600 full-industry-chain booths, setting a new record in scale. During the fair, multiple authoritative industry data and reports were released, unveiling the 2025 national performing arts market box office data and top 10 projects, as well as several market insights and industry research reports. Dedicated resource matchmaking conferences and an Inner Mongolia special promotion session were also held to support efficient project implementation and strengthen connections between national performing arts resources and the northern market.

Hohhot has already established a comprehensive all-scenario performing arts venue network, with over 10 professional venues capable of hosting a wide range of performances. Numerous top-tier artists have performed here to sold-out crowds. The city has also been deeply committed to artistic creation, producing more than 20 high-quality works, including the dance drama Zhaojun, with multiple works winning National Arts Fund awards and touring internationally.

From April 30 to May 5, Hohhot will launch an urban-roaming plan featuring nearly 80 integrated activities across agriculture, culture, tourism, sports, and commerce.
