Hohhot city launches special winter tourism routes

This winter, Hohhot is inviting visitors to embrace the season with its "Enjoy North China's Winter Wonderland: Ice and Snow in Qingcheng" campaign.
The capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has transformed into a magical ice and snow destination, highlighting its rich cultural and natural resources through three specially curated winter tourism routes.
The first route, the Ice and Snow Adventure, combines urban excitement with rural tranquility.
Visitors can experience the thrills of snow sports at parks and on slopes, followed by serene moments in idyllic snowy villages. Stops include Shuimo and Naobao villages, the Taiwei and Mazongshan ski resorts and Dahei River Military Culture Park.

The second route, the Cultural Winter Journey, showcases Hohhot's historical charms.
From exploring museums at night to learning traditional crafts and joining a winter Nadam festival, visitors can immerse themselves in the city's rich heritage.
Highlights include Kuanxiangzi and Zhuanjiao Alley, Mengliang Cultural Park, Monishan Intangible Heritage Town and the Shaomai Food Street.
The third route, called Festive Celebrations, promises end-of-year joy with ice light shows, New Year blessings, bustling local markets and loads of family fun.
Attractions include Saishang Old Street, Hasu Lake, Taigedou village, Qianyaozi Reservoir and Nanshan Scenic Area.
With these routes, Hohhot is said to be set to deliver a vibrant winter tourism experience – perfect for adventure, culture and celebrations.
