International Dairy Innovation Conference staged in Hohhot

The two-day International Dairy Innovation Conference – hosted by the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center and Yili Group – opened on Sept 20 in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Themed on "Inspiring Innovation Momentum to Create New Quality Productive Forces in Dairy," the conference brought together experts, industry representatives and government departments to discuss advancements in dairy technology and to strategize on future development.
Inner Mongolia, leveraging its unique resources and supportive policies, has become a leader in China's dairy industry – boasting the highest raw milk production, processing capacity and dairy product output in the country.
The region hosts the only national-level dairy technology innovation center in China, aiming to enhance the entire dairy supply chain from grass to milk to cheese.
To date, 145 research projects have been launched, 113 patents filed and 17 standards published, addressing key technological challenges.
During the opening ceremony, He Jian, general manager of the National Dairy Technology Innovation Center, highlighted key advancements and unveiled the center's top 10 achievements in 2024.
The event featured various forums – including discussions on young talent and award-winning projects – culminating in a display of dairy innovation in the region.
