Hohhot will celebrate International Museum Day and China Tourism Day with a series of events from May 8 to 31. These activities offer a blend of educational and recreational experiences for the public.
The International Museum Day events focus on the theme "Museums for Education and Research". The opening ceremony for these events will take place on May 18, and will feature the public debut of the Dashengkui Cultural Museum. Additionally, eight unique exhibitions, three "Museum Outreach" activities, and five cultural routes will be introduced across the city. The "Explore Qingcheng" initiative will highlight these museum events, while the "Educate Qingcheng" segment will host 14 educational workshops and seminars that are led by cultural experts. The "Enjoy Qingcheng" activities will include ancient music performances and cultural route tours that showcase the appeal and influence of museum-related events.
The Hohhot 2024 Camping Festival will be a highlight of the China Tourism Day events, with the main venue at Daheihe Military Culture Park and the Chilechuan Grasslands. The opening ceremony on May 19 will feature camping displays and themed activities. Nine sub-venues across various districts will also organize themed events, including parties and fitness events. The 15th Peony Cultural Tourism Festival will open on May 30 to offer additional cultural and recreational activities.
These combined celebrations provide a unique opportunity to experience Hohhot's rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourism scene. Whether exploring museums or enjoying the great outdoors, this dynamic cultural festival has something for everyone.
