Hohhot industrial park promotes intelligent manufacturing
Hohhot city – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has been making great strides in promoting its intelligent manufacturing, with local enterprises increasingly going smart, according to local media reports.
Jinyu Biotechnology Industrial Park in the city is said to be the first bio-industrial park in the global animal vaccines industry to realize intelligent manufacturing.
With its industry-leading intelligence levels and improving intelligent applications capability, in 2021 Jinyu Biotechnology won the national title of "smart manufacturing demonstration factory" and national "green factory demonstration unit".
In March 2005, Skyworth Electronics (Inner Mongolia) Co – later known as Inner Mongolia Skyworth Intelligent Technology Co – settled in Hohhot. It started operating in September 2006, becoming an important strategic production plant in North China of the Skyworth Group – the big television and audio-visual products manufacturer.
In 2018, in the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone, Skyworth officially launched construction of the Inner Mongolia Skyworth Smart Home Appliance Industrial Park.
In the industrial park, the most advanced AIOT smart TVs, 5G+8K TVs and MINI LED TVs on the market can be manufactured and produced, and are being made with an annual production target of 2 million sets.
At the same time, it is equipped with two of the latest in advanced, automatic and high-speed production lines.
After 17 years of development and two major technical upgrades, the Skyworth industrial park has transformed and upgraded from manufacturing old cathode ray tube or CRT televisions to R&D, production and manufacturing of smart LED LCD sets.
As of June 2022, the cumulative output value was 37.03 billion yuan ($5.31 billion), cumulative tax payments were 1.54 billion yuan and the total cumulative TV output was 18.85 million units.
