Horinger New Area launches major projects
The Horinger New Area in Hohhot city – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – held a groundbreaking ceremony on April 26 for major projects, according to local media reports.
The eight projects include the Bohui Innovative Biotechnology Industrial Base, the China Telecom Cloud Computing Inner Mongolia Information Park Phase II and the New District Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park Phase II.
According to estimates, the total investment for the projects is 28.8 billion yuan ($4.39 billion) and planned investment will come in at 1.99 billion yuan during the current year. The projects cover big data cloud computing, the life sciences, micro-ecology and other fields.
Since the establishment of the Horinger New Area, a raft of projects with great potential has been built there.
This year, plans are for it to implement 100 key projects worth more than 5 million yuan each, with a total investment of 137.68 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 10.05 billion yuan.
To date, construction work on 41 key projects has kicked off in the new area.
