Major industrial projects each worth 100 million yuan ($15.14 million) or more are currently underway in Hohhot -- capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- with confirmation that 58 projects will complete construction in 2020, according to local media reports.
The key projects -- 31 ongoing projects and 27 new projects -- involve projected total investment of 71.24 billion yuan.
From January to October, 52 projects started or resumed construction in the city, 89.7 percent of the total planned for the full year.
The major projects resuming construction include the Yili Modern Smart Health Valley project, a glycol plant being developed by Inner Mongolia Jiutai New Material Co and the Skyworth Smart Home Appliance Industrial Park.
Moving forwards, Hohhot will continue to promote the implementation of key projects.
It will also assist enterprises to accelerate preparatory work for their projects, so as to boost regional industrial and economic growth.
