A daring horse racing competition – held in Hohhot on August 19 – fully stretched the riders' ability to control their mounts and the tacit understanding between the horseman and the horse.
Organizers said the final result reflected the speed and endurance of the winning horse. They said spectators were thrilled with the derring-do of the riders.
The competition not only provided an excellent opportunity for audiences to learn about Mongolian horses and traditional horse-related events, but also created an important platform for exchanges and understanding of the horse culture, the organizers added.
