Around 40 horses of 17 varieties from across the world, including Ferghana horses, also known as Han Xue Ma or 'sweats blood horses', were on display at a horse exhibition held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 18.
The horse exhibition, as part of the 2nd China Horse Culture Festival, offered visitors an opportunity to appreciate some rare horse breeds.
Organizers educated people about the horses at the exhibition and held cultural performances and parades.
