A horse culture-themed post office was launched in Hohhot, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Aug 18, the first of its kind in the country.
The newly unveiled post office, shaped like a Mongolian yurt, is designed to exhibit cultural products -- including post cards, greeting cards, bookmarks, envelopes and stamps. The products showcase the traditional Mongolian way of life, especially the culture involving its horses.
Cai Minghui, general manager of Inner Mongolia branch of China Post Group, said the new post office aims to promote the horse culture through the group's regional postal network and build up a cultural brand with a distinctive local character.
Local officials said that China Post Group's Inner Mongolia branch plans to roll out similar post offices across the region and continue to improve its cultural products.
