Togtoh to welcome annual culture tourism festival
The 9th Yellow River cultural tourism festival will kick off in Togtoh county, Hohhot, in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 18.
The festival will feature 25 activities in the fields of culture, tourism, sports and trade and will last until September.
The launch ceremony for the festival, as well as a cultural performance, will be held in Togtoh on the evening of Aug 18.
In addition, there will also be singing contests, horse riding performances, dragon boat races, motorbike riding performances, folk items displays, folk dancing performances, qipao (traditional Chinese dress) displays and an outdoor excursion activity during the festival.
At the same time, a new glass walkway -- the first glass viewing platform in Inner Mongolia -- will be put into operation, offering breathtaking views for thrill seekers.
