Though the summer heat is making it difficult just to get through the day, 3,800 Chinese college students are expected to take part in the 19th National College Athletics Championships at Inner Mongolia Normal University in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia on July 26.

A total of 3,800 college, 198 referees, and more than 200 volunteers from across the country will participate in 80 competitions during the six-day event. This is more participants than ever before, and the event will be broadcast live online.

The National College Athletics Championships is a wonderful opportunity for runners to make a name for themselves on the national stage. It also encourages communication and cooperation among Chinese universities, said Yun Guohong, principle of IMNU.
