A forum focusing on the green development of the agriculture industry in China and Japan was held in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 11.

The forum was organized by the China Center for International Science and Technology Exchange, and Inner Mongolia Association for Science and Technology and other national agriculture associations.

The agriculture and husbandry industry is one of the major sectors in Inner Mongolia, said Ouyang Xiaohui, vice-president of Inner Mongolia, at the opening ceremony of the forum.

He said that the regional government would step up its efforts to promote the green growth of the agriculture industry and the rural tourism sector.

Agricultural experts from Japan and China attended the forum and exchanged their views and experiences in developing agriculture.
