Tiger Hill Ecological Park was established between the old and new areas of Jining district in Ulaanqab in 1980, with an area of 310,000 square meters and an elevation of 1,448 meters.
The park, bordered by Wolong Mountain to the west and the Bawang River to the north, is famous for its shape which looks like a tiger lying on the ground.
The park includes nine areas: a gate waterfall area, monument area, Botanical Garden area, tiger stone area, Tiger Hill entertainment area, Zhao Family Courtyard area, old pool area, General Feng Forest area and the old city ruins area.
It was listed as a key memorial building protection area of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on March 1988, and was approved the national key memorial building protection unit in 2009.
The park has been redesigned and reformed into an ecological park in the city since 2003. Now, it is a city park that combines ecological features, leisure, entertainment and red tourism in one.
There is also an underground civil air defense project in the park. The tunnel and command center are located on the gentle slope of the west side of the Tiger Mountain, and the cave is 10 meters above the ground with an area of 40 sq m.
