An exhibition tour of pieces from renowned paper-cutting artists took place in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 1. 

Eight leading artists from Inner Mongolia autonomous region and provinces including  Jiangsu, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Henan, Jilin and Shanxi -- namely Duan Jiankun,Yang Zhaoqun, Wang Shaofeng, Wang Jihong, Hua Yuexiu, Li Tao, Zhang Chunying and Yang Yi -- demonstrated their paper-cuts at the event.

The exhibition tour featured other activities including a paper-cutting forum and onsite demonstrations of paper-cutting skills. It was one of the most significant exhibitions launched by the Hohhot National Art Museum this year.

Organizers said that the exhibition served as a exchange platform for exponents of paper-cutting in recent years and has won recognition across the country.

They said that the event has helped promote cultural exchanges across the country.
