First Mongolian literature history symposium opens in Hohhot
Officials announced that the first Mongolian literature history symposium, sponsored by the literature institute of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Social Science, recently took place in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Around 100 professors and scholars from universities and research institutions at home and abroad attended the symposium.
Renowned experts -- including Professor Quanfu from Mongolian Study College, Inner Mongolia University and Professor Chen Ganglong from Foreign Language College, Peking University -- presented academic reports at the event.
Themed mainly on studies of Mongolian literature and history, topics such as the study of historical materials and the writing of regional history of literature were discussed, with the aim of promoting the innovative development of Mongolian literature and history.
Organizers said the symposium is one of the most significant academic projects for celebrating 40th anniversary of the Inner Mongolian Academic of Social Science.
Over 40 papers of the symposium have been collected in The Papers Collection of First Mongolian Literature and History Symposium and these will be published at a later date.
