Australian breeding cattle arrive in Hohhot
“Please show me your passport!” declared Yang Jun, an inspector at the Hohhot Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, to visiting Australian cattlemen on May 27.
A total of 339 head of breeding cattle purchased by the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region from Australia arrived at Hohhot Baita International Airport and underwent inspections conducted by the Hohhot Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station.
According to local media reports, the cattle were bought for breeding, to boost the animal husbandry industry in Inner Mongolia.
With its vast grasslands, Inner Mongolia is one of China's major centers for husbandry products.
