Hechi relishes in green cover

Hechi's investments in improving the city's environment are now flourishing with 35 percent green coverage, according to the latest reports.

As Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region's longevity city, it has invested 121 million yuan ($17.56 million) to improve the city environment. It includes renovating the drainage and sewage systems, as well as building 12,000-square-meters of green belts.

According to the environmental protection bureau, air quality and ambient noise in Hechi has met the second national level requirements. Additionally, 88 percent of sewage is disposed of properly and 100 percent of household waste recycled.
