Hechi invests $58 million in minority communities

A recent report from the Hechi Statistics Bureau revealed that Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has invested a total of 400 million yuan ($58 million) over the past four years, providing financial support to promote the development of minority communities.

Under the guidance of national policies, the Hechi government financially supported 2,700 projects to promote utility services in minority communities, including water services, electricity and roads renovation, in addition to promoting the farming and husbandry sectors.

The Hechi government has also put great emphasis on the construction of education bases. The Donglan Cemetery of Revolutonary Martyrs and the Zhuangxiang Hero Cultural Park were honored as national model patriotism education bases by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, while four other sites, including the Maonan Ethnic Museum in Huanjiang county, were awarded as model bases within the autonomous regions.
