Rapeseed flowers announce arrival of spring
One of the most striking signs of the arrival of spring in China is the appearance across the countryside of fields of vivid green rapeseed plants.
The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. The Start of Spring, the first solar term of the year, falls on Feb 3 this year.
The Start of Spring lifts the curtain on the new season, with the days becoming longer, the weather warmer, and shrubs and trees turning bright green with new life.
Luocheng, a Mulao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is famous for its mysterious beauty and well-preserved environment.
A series of photos taken from a bird's-eye view of the countryside in Luocheng has highlighted the postcard-like scenery in the county, with a sea of blossoming rapeseed flowers announcing the arrival of spring.
