Stunning scenery at Hechi Airport
Hechi Airport, an airport boasting the highest elevation in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has gained wide attention for its stunning natural scenery and its unique shape.
Nestled among mountians, the airport has an elevation of 677 meters, giving it a stunning view similar to a huge aircraft carrier resting in a giant garden.
Covering an area of 2,500 square meters, the airport was first opened to traffic on Aug 28, 2014, greatly releasing traffic pressure as the seventh airport in Guangxi.
With direct flights to numerous cities such as Chongqing, Haikou, Guilin and Xi'an, Hechi is closely connected with these cities, giving a great boost to local tourism and economic development.
The airport is 28 kilometers far away from downtown Hechi.
