Municipal sports games held in Hechi

The second municipal sports games of Hechi in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region kicked off at the city gymnasium on Nov 22.

As many as 54 groups of participants from institutions and enterprises from around Hechi paraded during the opening ceremony, full of spirit and energy.

According to local reports, the sports games will last for five days. There are four major competitions—basketball, volleyball, badminton and pingpong, covering 16 minor games.

As one of the most high-standard, large-scale sporting events in the city, the games accommodate 2,500 participants, of which 1,820 are professional athletes.The competitions will result in 113 single awards, as well as 91 group awards.
